On Kim's side of the space, I wanted to spotlight her knack for acquiring and layering objects made from an array of metals, woods, and other textures. Kim has a strong talent for decorating and reimagining her floor plan, mixing the old with the new, and for finding the most marvelous mirrors. This particular nook, for me, showcases her romantic-leaning aesthetic and ability to source a wide range of lovely vintage homewares.

With Avey's side of the space, I wanted to highlight her use of soft color palettes and layered textiles that evoke a look a la Rachel Ashwell, of Shabby Chic fame. Avey not only has a keen eye for pretty things but is also a seamstress, often sewing custom pillowcases and reimagined men's shirts that sell like hotcakes. This particular corner I captured epitomizes, for me, the breezy, feminine, and sumptuous aesthetic of her space.
